General Rules

  • Each player starts a round by drawing from the deck or discard pile.
  • On your turn, draw one card then discard one card.
  • To "go out", lay down your complete contract and discard your last card.
  • A set is 3 or more cards of the same rank.
  • A run is 4 or more consecutive cards of the same suit.
  • Jokers are wild — they can substitute for any card in a meld. Maximum 1 joker per meld.
  • An unused joker at the end of a round counts as 20 penalty points.
  • Score = sum of point values of cards remaining in your hand.
  • The player who goes out scores 0 for that round.

  • Round 1 6 cards

    Two Sets of Three

    2 sets

    Two sets of 3 or more cards of the same rank.

  • Round 2 7 cards

    One Set + One Run

    1 set + 1 run

    One set of 3+ cards of the same rank, plus one run of 4+ consecutive cards of the same suit.

  • Round 3 8 cards

    Two Runs of Four

    2 runs

    Two runs of 4 or more consecutive cards of the same suit.

  • Round 4 9 cards

    Three Sets of Three

    3 sets

    Three sets of 3 or more cards of the same rank.

  • Round 5 10 cards

    Two Sets + One Run

    2 sets + 1 run

    Two sets of 3+ cards of the same rank, plus one run of 4+ consecutive cards of the same suit.

  • Round 6 11 cards

    Two Runs + One Set

    2 runs + 1 set

    Two runs of 4+ consecutive cards of the same suit, plus one set of 3+ cards of the same rank.

  • Round 7 12 cards

    Three Runs of Four

    3 runs

    Three runs of 4 or more consecutive cards of the same suit.

  • Round 8 13 cards

    Three Sets + One Run

    3 sets + 1 run

    Three sets of 3+ cards of the same rank, plus one run of 4+ consecutive cards of the same suit.

  • Round 9 14 cards

    Two Runs + Two Sets

    2 runs + 2 sets

    Two runs of 4+ consecutive cards of the same suit, plus two sets of 3+ cards of the same rank.

  • Round 10 15 cards

    Five Sets

    5 sets

    Five sets of 3 or more cards of the same rank.

  • Round 11 16 cards

    Four Runs of Four

    4 runs

    Four runs of 4 or more consecutive cards of the same suit.
